Badminton Scoreboard Features
Track rally points, Games won, completed Game scores, and the serving side. Use singles service-court guidance, current BWF international 3×21 scoring, the approved future 3×15 format, or Custom rules; then correct mistakes with Undo or Redo, restore a locally saved match, and show the read-only board in Fullscreen.
Rally Scoring: Points, Games and Match
Every recorded rally gives one point to the side that won it, and that side serves the next rally. Points build into Games, and Games build into the match. The scoreboard completes a Game when the selected target, winning margin, or hard-cap condition is met, then records the completed score and advances the match.

Current BWF 3×21 Scoring
The current BWF international baseline remains best of three Games to 21 through January 3, 2027. A side must lead by two after 20–all. At 29–all, the next rally wins the Game 30–29, and the first side to win two Games wins the match.
BWF 3×15 Scoring From January 4, 2027
BWF members approved best-of-three Games to 15 for international use from January 4, 2027. A side must lead by two after 14–all; at 20–all, the next rally wins the Game 21–20. Some domestic competitions may use 3×15 before the international effective date, so check the rules for the match you are scoring.
Serve and singles service court
ScoreMetrik changes the serving side to the rally winner. For singles, an even serving-side score maps to the right service court and an odd score maps to the left. The server correction control fixes an entry mistake without awarding a rally.
Singles and team-labelled doubles
Each side can represent one singles player or one doubles team. Doubles mode tracks the serving side or team, not an individual doubles player, receiver, service rotation, or court position.
Custom Badminton Scoring
ScoreMetrik Custom rules can use best of one, three, or five Games, a point target from 1 to 99, a one- or two-point winning margin, and an optional hard cap at or above the target. At the hard cap, the leading side wins without another margin requirement. These Custom choices are not BWF-certified formats.
Use It for Local Badminton Matches
Use the board for casual badminton, club games, school matches, practice, recreational singles, team-labelled doubles, or a local competition when the selected scoring format matches its rules. The scorekeeper operates the match on this device.
Fullscreen Display
Open the read-only scoreboard display in Fullscreen when the browser supports it. Setup, rally controls, Undo, Redo, and match actions stay outside the Fullscreen element on the current device, including a connected monitor, TV, or projector.
Undo, Local Saving and Recovery
Undo and Redo correct scoring and server-entry mistakes. When browser storage is available, the current match saves in this browser and can be restored after a reload. Clearing site data, changing browsers, or moving to another device can make that saved match unavailable; it does not sync between devices.
Scoreboard vs Official Badminton Score Sheet
ScoreMetrik records aggregate rally points, Games, completed Game scores, the serving side, and the match result. It is not an official score sheet and does not record every rally as a formal event history, individual doubles rotations, faults, lets, service-judge calls, challenges, officials, rankings, or a tournament draw.
What This Scoreboard Does Not Do
This user-operated scoreboard does not fetch professional live badminton scores, publish player rankings, manage tournaments, track individual doubles-player rotation, judge faults or lets, or replace an official umpire workflow. It has no cloud sync, public viewer link, remote controller, or OBS output. ScoreMetrik is independent and is not affiliated with, approved by, or certified by BWF.
Badminton scoreboard FAQ
Is the Badminton scoreboard free?
Yes. You can use the browser-local Badminton scoreboard without creating an account or signing up.
How does badminton rally scoring work?
Each recorded rally gives one point to its winner, and that side serves next. Points win Games, and Games win the match.
What happens at 20–20 under current 3×21 scoring?
A side needs a two-point lead. If the score reaches 29–all, the next rally wins the Game 30–29.
When does BWF 3×15 take effect?
Its international effective date is January 4, 2027. Some domestic competitions may adopt it earlier, so follow the rules specified for the event you are scoring.
Where is the match saved?
It is saved only in this browser when browser storage is available. Clearing site data or moving to another device does not recover or synchronize it.
Can I use it for doubles?
You can label the two sides as doubles teams and track which team serves. This version does not know which individual doubles player serves or receives.
How does the scoreboard track serve?
You choose the first server, and each rally winner becomes the next serving side. A correction control can change the serving side without awarding a point.
Can I use the badminton scoreboard on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The controls and display adapt to supported phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop browsers. This remains one browser-local match; it does not create a remote viewer or synchronize the score across devices.
