How to Use the Online Tennis Scoreboard
- Choose Custom, Standard Best of 3, or Standard Best of 5.
- Enter the two player or team labels, choose the first server, and create the match.
- Award each point to the correct side.
- Follow points, games, Sets, and Tiebreak state as the match progresses.
- Use Undo or Redo to correct a mistake.
- Open the read-only display in Fullscreen when supported.

How to Read a Tennis Scoreboard
The point score shows Love, 15, 30, 40, Deuce, or Advantage. Games accumulate inside each set, and sets won determine the match. The serve indicator identifies the side serving the next point. During a tiebreak, the point display switches to numeric scoring while games and sets remain visible.

Love, 15, 30, 40, Deuce and Advantage
In an Advantage game, the point score moves from Love to 15, 30, and 40. At 40–40 the display shows Deuce. A side must then win two consecutive points—Advantage followed by the game. If the other side wins the next point, the score returns to Deuce. With No-Ad selected in Custom rules, the next point at 40–40 decides the game.
Games, Sets and Match Formats
Points win games, games win sets, and sets win the match. In a best-of-three match, the first side to win two sets wins; in best-of-five, the first to three sets wins. Custom rules can use a regular tiebreak set, an advantage set, or a seven- or ten-point match tiebreak for the deciding set.
Tiebreak Scoring and Serve Order
At 6–6 in a regular Tiebreak Set, the point display switches to numbers. A standard Tiebreak starts with a target of seven and requires a two-point margin. The first server serves one point, then the serving side rotates in two-point blocks. Record who wins each point and ScoreMetrik derives which side serves next from that sequence.
Singles and Team-Labelled Doubles
Use the two sides for player names in singles or team labels in doubles. For doubles, the scoreboard tracks only which team side serves. It does not track the individual server, receiver, or rotation within either team.

Use the scoreboard for casual matches, club play, school Tennis, practice, recreational singles, or team-labelled doubles on one device. It is a user-controlled local scorekeeper, not a professional live-score feed or tournament platform.
Fullscreen Display
Open the read-only scoreboard display in fullscreen when your browser supports it. Setup, point controls, Undo, Redo, and match actions stay outside the fullscreen display on the same device.
Tennis Formats and Rules
Choose Custom, Standard Best of 3, or Standard Best of 5. Custom rules support Advantage or No-Ad games, regular Tiebreak or Advantage Sets, and a same-format, Advantage Set, or seven- or ten-point Match Tiebreak decider. These product formats do not imply ATP, WTA, ITF, tournament, or governing-body affiliation or certification.
Undo, Local Saving and Recovery
Undo and Redo restore earlier scoreboard changes. When browser storage is available, the current match saves in this browser and can be restored after a reload. Clearing site data, changing browsers, or moving to another device can remove or leave that saved match unavailable.
Scoreboard vs Official Tennis Score Sheet
This scoreboard records aggregate points, games, Sets, Tiebreak scores, and the serving side. It does not replace an official score sheet or record aces, faults, double faults, break points, serve percentages, player-level events, rankings, or umpire decisions.
What This Scoreboard Does Not Do
There is no individual doubles-player serve or receive tracking, chair-umpire workflow, full point-by-point event log, tournament management, cloud synchronization, public viewer link, remote controller, or OBS output. ScoreMetrik does not fetch ATP, WTA, or other professional live scores.

Is the Tennis scoreboard free?
Yes. You can run the browser-local Tennis scoreboard without creating an account or signing up.
How do you read a Tennis scoreboard?
Read the current point score first, then the games in the current Set and the Sets won. The serve indicator shows which side serves next, and active Tiebreak points appear as numbers.
What happens at Deuce?
With Advantage scoring, a side needs two consecutive points from Deuce to win the game. With No-Ad selected, the next point at 40–40 wins the game.
How many Sets do you need to win?
A side needs two Sets in a best-of-three match or three Sets in a best-of-five match.
Does the scoreboard handle Tiebreaks?
Yes. It shows numeric Tiebreak scoring, applies the configured target and two-point margin, and derives the next serving side.
Can I use it for doubles?
Yes, with one label for each doubles team. The serve indicator identifies the serving team side, not an individual player or receiver.
Does it save my Tennis match?
When browser storage is available, the current match saves only in this browser. Clearing site data or using another browser or device will not restore it.
